Companions
Pets hatch from celestial eggs in your sanctuary. Each one is good at one thing: some sharpen your attacks, some your spies, some guard against one or the other, and a few are made for boss hunting. Only the pet you have equipped counts, so swap them to match what you are about to do. Feed your pet to keep it happy and level it up to grow its bonus.
Gear
Your warlord has a full set of slots to fill, from helmet to boots, and every piece comes in tiers. Every piece you equip adds to your strength, and the higher the tier, the more it gives.
Caches
Gear comes from caches. They drop from world bosses and turn up as rewards. Each cache holds aether and a chance at a piece of gear from its tier. The higher the cache, the better the gear inside, and the rarer it is to find it there.
Enchanting and auras
Enchanting spends aether to make a piece stronger. It never fails and never destroys the item, so there is no reason to hold back on something you plan to keep.
Nothing you find goes to waste. Gear you have outgrown can be dismantled into relics, and relics feed your aura, a power that surrounds your warlord and adds to your strength on top of everything you wear. Two players in the same armour can be very different fighters; the aura is usually why.
